Camper Photos

Would you like to see your camper having fun at summer camp?  Of course!

Our photographer is roaming camp and beyond to capture as many special moments as possible of life at camp, and then uploading them to our online photo gallery overnight.  (At least on her days working.) 

Please realize she's just one person chasing 90 campers over 5 activity periods per day, at camp and away from camp.  So there will be days where she may capture your camper in one or more activities, and there will be days (maybe even back-to-back) where she won't.  That's just the reality unfortunately.  But we're hopeful she'll capture some great moments that you can download for free from the photo gallery to save, make prints, or do with as you wish.

There are two ways to see the photos:

1)  Visit the free online photo gallery.  (For ease, we've included a "Photo Gallery" icon on which you can click at the bottom of most pages on our web site.)  Or,

2)  Subscribe to "Waldo" and download a phone app that allows you to see all the photos or a filtered set of photos of just your camper.

This second option is really exciting.  The service is provided by Waldo and uses state of the art facial recognition to find photos of your camper from the hundreds of other photos and gives you the option of seeing all photos or switching to a filtered set of photos that include your camper.  Waldo charges a small fee:  $9.99 per camper for the 1st week and only $5 for each subsequent week.  (But again, you can simply visit the online photo gallery for free.)

  1. Who’s Waldo?
    A photo-finding phenom who uses facial recognition to find all your camper’s photos in the camp album and then delivers them to you via text message.

  2. How does Waldo work?
    You submit a photo of your camper’s face and enroll in the service. Waldo does the rest - matching that photo to all the photos in the camp album and sending you all YOUR camper’s photos.

  3. How do I sign up?
    Tap here or text SHSC18 to 735-343.

  4. Will I get to see all the camp photos in addition to the ones of my camper?
    Yes you will. When you download the free Waldo app, you can toggle between “My Photos” and “All Photos”. To see all the camp photos, just click on All Photos and scroll to your heart’s desire.

  5. Can I easily share all the photos with my family?
    Great news for you. The Waldo app allows you to invite up to 5 family members to your camper’s photo stream. That means they can get the same photo alerts and see all your camper’s photos, too.

  6. I’m not signing up for the photo delivery service but I still want to see the camp photos. Possible?
    You betcha. While Waldo loves to find and send you photos, he also provides a free web gallery for you to view the photos online. You can view, download, and share photos from the web gallery.

  7. I signed up for the service but I’m not getting any matches yet. What’s Waldo doing?
    Waldo is stressing. No photos can mean a couple things: 1) There are no photos of your camper yet in the album or 2) Your camper’s photo is blurry, dark, or unclear and Waldo is having a hard time matching it. (Submit a new photo from the Waldo app by clicking on Faces and then the gearshift in top right to edit!)

  8. Will Waldo share my selfie or matched photos with the world?
    No way! Waldo respects your privacy! Your photos will only be accessible by you. (And you had to enter your camp album code and a pin code verification to even access the photos.) It’s up to you whether you want to share your photos with the world.

  9. Can I order prints?
    Yep! You can order prints from the Waldo app or the web gallery, or you can download the digital image for free.
